PROTECTION FROM WIND AND WEATHER:

SCHÜCO CONSERVATORY SYSTEMS

A facade should protect against wind and weather. But it should also be open to light and air, to residents and building users. The new Schüco conservatory and patio roof systems made of aluminum and glass are the ideal solution because they let light into the building, create additional usable areas and, thanks to their timeless design, can be used for almost any type of building are based on a system platform. By reducing the number of individual parts to be processed and using identical parts, production becomes more efficient. Nevertheless, the systems offer a high degree of flexibility and allow numerous planning variants.

The consistent further development of the Schüco conservatory systems is called CMC 50. The reduced number of parts and the high degree of prefabrication of the modules (rafters) significantly reduce production times and thus overall costs. Excellent thermal insulation properties guarantee high energy savings. In addition, the components ensure improved flexibility in execution. Different eaves profiles and gutter contours allow a variable design of the winter garden construction.

Schüco patio roofs protect the sitting area and at the same time let light into the rooms behind. With their timeless design, they fit homogeneously into any facade. The patio roofs, like the conservatories, are quick to assemble and are suitable as a simple roof construction for pent roofs, pent roof surrounds, saddle roofs and carports. The roof pitch is between 7 o and 30 o the glazing consists of laminated safety glass or double-skin sheets. The roofs can optionally be pre-assembled – this also reduces the assembly time.

Modular construction

Both the coservatories and the patio roof systems are based on a construction principle. The same components such as rafters, transoms and connectors are used for both. The person carrying out the work is quickly familiar with the system. This simplifies production and assembly and noticeably reduces production times. In addition, there is less waste. Remaining meters from a conservatory can be used for a patio roof, for example.
